Pat Narduzzi and Matt Canada are getting a visitor this weekend who very well could turn into a future commitment.
Charlotte (NC) QB Kingsley Ifedi (6-4, 215) told me that he’ll be visiting Pittsburgh for the first time this Friday. The 3-star player received an offer a couple months ago from Canada and WR coach Kevin Sherman.
“I’ve really been pressed on getting up to Pitt, I’m staying the whole weekend so I can really get a feel it”, said Ifedi. “I talk to Coach Canada often and I usually call Coach Sherman to update him and to just talk a little. They’ve really just expressed how much they think I am the guy for Pitt.”
Pitt is one of 10 schools to offer Ifedi but are the only ACC school to so so. In the last couple of weeks, Ifedi has visited Georgia St, Duke, East Carolina and Coastal Carolina.
“My Top 3 would be ECU & Pitt & Georgia St right now.”
Watching Ifedi’s game tape, the strength of his arm really stands out, especially throwing the deep pass. Last season for Vance H.S. , Ifedi threw for over 3,000 yards, rushed for over 800 yards and combined for 44 TD’s.

What’s the thing that stands out most to you about Pitt?
“I’d probably say the competition level, with Pitt being ACC. They compete at the highest levels, also just the traditional of the school. Also the players they put out on a yearly basis”, said Ifedi.
Finally, I asked Ifedi if he really enjoyed his visit, what are the chances (scale of 1-10), that he could give a commitment?
“It’s a good chance, I’d say a solid 7. If I really love it, I wouldn’t wait. But I’d probably take a week to talk to people close to me and make sure that’s the place that is best for me and my family. I’m going to announce my top 5 a week before I commit though.”
